Race Rules
  • Competitors must be 16 years or older* on the date of the Half on the Hill event, being 30 June 2019.
  • Registration is $25 per entrant.
  • Registration closes at 6:00pm on 28 June 2019.
* Entrants who under the age of 16 on race day but would like to compete in the Half on the Hill need to contact the race director at half@griffithferals.org.au.  You will then be requested to supply documented details of your running abilities and will require parental permission. Additionally, entrants under the age of 16 are only permitted to compete in a 2 person team event.

  • NO IPODS OR OTHER LISTENING DEVICES ARE TO BE WORN DURING THE RACE. You are sharing the hill with other users – people, animals, push bikes and even motor vehicles, you must be aware of your surroundings at all times.
  • All runners are to wear a race bib located on the front of their shirts.
  • If you are not feeling well today please do not run.
  • If you feel sick or injure yourself during the run stop and walk to the nearest water stop or let another runner know and remain where you are on the course. Someone will come to you.
  • There are 3 road crossing on the course, you must give way to motor vehicles. There will be safety marshals at each location to ensure your safety.
Drink Stations
  • There is a drink station approximately every 5 km.
  • The  drink stations will have people serving water.
  • Refreshments and fruit will be available at the finish line.
  • Check the map for a general understanding of the course and the location of the drink stops and teams change-over point.
  • Start / Finish line is at John Piccoli Reserve on Doolan Crescent, Griffith.
  • The course is run on the major fire trails around Scenic Hill.
  • The course is marked with WHITE arrows on the ground.
  • ​Again stop and look for traffic when crossing a road.

  • 2 runners per team.
  • ​The change-over point is at the old MTN9 TV studios on Remembrance Drive.
  • Runners are to make their own way to and from the changeover point.
Presentation & Prizes
  • Presentation to start at 11:20am.
  • Prizes will be awarded as follows:
    • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in the male half marathon event
    • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in the female half marathon event
    • 1st place getter in the male team event
    • 1st place getter in the female team event
    • 1st place getter in the mixed team event
Weather Policy
  • The Griffith Feral Joggers, in the interest of participant safety, will monitor the race day weather conditions to determine if the weather conditions will have an adverse effect on participants.
  • The Griffith Feral Joggers, through its duty of care to its participants, reserves the right to indefinitely cancel or delay the event at short notice in the interest of participant safety.
  • Entry fee is non-refundable if the race has been cancelled due to weather conditions.
Refund Policy
  • Entry fee is non-refundable for non-starters and non-finishers.
